Meet the Artist!
MY STORYMegan Nguyen is a Los Angeles-based Toy Designer and Illustrator who specializes in girls' toys, plush, and collectible figures. Passionate about bringing diversity to the field, she uses 3D sculpting and creative design to push boundaries, creating art that sparks joy in others.
Megan earned her BFA in Toy Design from Otis College of Art and Design and a history in Illustration, Graphic Design, and Fine Art. When not tinkering with toys, Megan enjoys arts and crafts, hanging out with her friends, and soaking in the SoCal sun!
Hi, I’m Megan! Thank you so much for visiting my website!
I’m a toy designer and artist—and have been making art my whole life! Outside of work, I own two rescue turtles, Boy and Girl (yes, named after the characters from Bird Box) and have had them since high school!
I was born and raised in San Jose, California, and both of my parents have an art background—so I guess you could say creativity runs in the family! I’m so grateful and privileged to have such an amazing and supportive family throughout my career!
When I’m not designing or making art, I love baking, crafting, and tending to my plants! Over the pandemic, I even learned how to tuft my own rugs! I also enjoy collecting adorable trinkets such as Sonny Angels and Calico Critters and so many more, so ask me about them anytime!
Some of my favorite things include drinking boba, going to the beach, and watching early 2000s TV shows like Gilmore Girls, Suits, and Ugly Betty!
Lately, I’ve been exploring the world of 3D art and teaching myself 3D modeling software like Nomad Sculpt, with plans to dive into Blender soon. It’s been an exciting challenge, and I can’t wait to incorporate these skills into my future projects!
